Membranes

The process of separation and filtration of gases is widely incorporated in industrial engineering practices. Membranes are used for, but are not limited to, electrodialysis, concentration, such as producing table salt from seawater, extraction, and purification of food and beverages.

AGC Chemicals Europe has developed a series of filtration films, including fluorinated sulphonic acid ion exchange membranes, and hydrocarbon-based cation and anion exchange membranes. These membranes feature low electrical resistance and feature in-house grafted polymerization technology to help maximise concentration of targeted elements.
