AGCCE currently has a vacancy for a 1st Line IT Support Apprentice. This role holder will be an integral part of the IT team, often the initial point of contact for our end users. As part of this role, you will provide 1st line end-user support, triaging and responding to incidents raised through our ITSM system.
The apprenticeship will be in partnership with Baltic Apprenticeships, over a 15-month period.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supporting customers with 1st line support issues across the AGCCE IT landscape. Gathering and documenting incident details, troubleshooting and resolving, or escalating where necessary.
  • Maintaining users within various software systems, including access control management, authorisation/authentication, roles, and permissions.
  • Build, install and maintain IT equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining the IT Asset Management System, including end user hardware, software licenses, mobile devices etc.
  • Maintaining and managing the IT stock.
  • Manage KB articles and support documentation

Additional responsibilities:

  • Work with IT contractors & 3rd parties to support services offered by IT Dept. as needed.
  • Participate in internal audit activities.
  • Pro-active learning/up skilling as new technologies are introduced into the business.
  • Work on IT project activities where needed to support project delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • GCSE in Maths and English (Level 4 / C grade).
  • Candidates must not have completed a similar qualification in the last 5 years.
  • Excellent communication skills, face to face, via telephone, and email.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Positive, can-do attitude.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Right to work within the UK
