Chemical Processing & Industrial
AGC Chemicals Europe develops a range of fluoroelastomers for products and systems operating in the most extreme and hazardous industrial environments. The fluorocarbon-based synthetic rubber is used in applications that require optimum reliability; thus, the rubber compound has a strong chemical resistance, and can be found protecting pipes and engine valves in manufacturing facilities and power stations.
Chemical Processing
AGC Chemicals Europe has developed AFLAS®; the fluoroelastomer ideally created for use in hazardous, chemical environments. AFLAS® FFKM is a perfluorinated elastomer with higher amounts of fluorine—its attributes make it the ultimate sealing agent on the market for withstanding extreme service temperatures and corrosive chemical resistance.
The elastomeric properties of the synthetic rubber are perfectly suited for o-ring and sealing parts for semiconductor manufacturing and analytical instruments. FFKM offers the highest resistances in heat and oil, along with acid, steam, non-polar solvents, and low temperature drops.
Manufacturing
Similar to FFKM, AFLAS® FEPM is a partially fluorinated elastomer that is highly resistant to hazardous environments. Its broader use shows a cheaper alternative to the more specific FFKM, and its rubber seals can be found in manufacturing industries including automotive, electronic, and biochemical sectors.
In addition, AGC Chemicals Europe develops strong repellent technology for use in various manufacturing institutes. AsahiGuard® E-Series is a fluorinated water and oil repellent that provides sufficient protection against paper, textiles, clothing, synthetics, and home furnishings. These products all contribute to a series of protective and sustainable solutions to the process of manufacturing, regardless of industry. AGC Chemicals Europe leads the way in streamlining production and implementing safety measures for more hazardous processing environments.
