RESIFA™ M.S. GEL Micro-porous Silica

RESIFA™ M.S. GEL, functional spherical micro-porous silica, is widely used in high performance liquid chromatography packing to separate specified substances in the fields of pharmaceutical, agrichemical, biochemistry, and organic synthesis.

Its excellent properties can be supplied from analytical to large-scale preparative chromatography. RESIFA™ M.S. GEL is anticipated to add impressive potential in various demands such as the refinement of a solvent for electronic fields by using its functionality.

RESIFA™ M.S. GEL has been jointly developed by Asahi Glass Co. Ltd and AGC Si-Tech Co. Ltd.

Applications

  • Silica based packing for analytical & preparative chromatography. (Separation media for proteins, peptides, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, intermediate purification, etc.)  
  • Release carriers for cosmetics, fragrances, and antiseptic.
  • Catalyst and catalyst carriers or resin fillers.
  • Adsorption and removal of ionized compounds from organic solvents.

Characteristics:

  • Spherical particles provide an excellent tactile feeling due to the particles’ free rolling nature.
  • Spherical shapes enable higher loading capacities with lower back pressure and good separation performance. (Controlled particle size grade performs well).
  • Particle sizes are available from 2-200µm, with narrow particle size distributions dependant on the application. Since these grades are manufactured by the same process, RESIFA™ M.S. GEL can easily be scaled up from analytical to preparative separations.
  • Mean pore size is available from 6-100nm with strictly controlled pore size distribution.
  • Surface area (80-800m2/g) and pore volume (0.7-1.5ml/g) can also be selected.
  • Large pore products (pore size 50nm~200nm) are applied to separation of protein and carrier of bioreactions.
